Anti Ragging Cell

The Management, Faculty and the Staff of Uttaranchal Institute of Technology welcome the Fresher’s of B. Tech & Management courses and assures them that they will be protected against ragging and any other kind of atrocities of their seniors.

Fresher’s are requested not do anything against their will even if ordered by the seniors. They may immediately contact the Anti Ragging committee in case of any kind of ragging.

DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE

I. Uttaranchal Institute of Technology has constituted Disciplinary Committee which consists of the following members.


1. Prof. S. P. Agarwal - Convener

2. Prof. Raj K. Dhar - Member

3. Mr. S. K. Joshi - Member

4. Mr. Surmadhur Pant - Member

5. Mr. Manoj Dhyani - Member

With the unanimous approval of all the members, the following Rules, Regulations and Corrective actions are framed.

(A) Act - Not following the Dress Code on week days.

Corrective Measures for improper personal bearings (Dress, Hair cut, Shoes etc)

  • Two warnings and then disciplinary action.

  • To be presented before Disciplinary Committee. Warning issued with apology letter.

  • Parents/and Guardians to be called for corrective action.
     

(B) Acts of Defiance - Rude behaviour with Faculty and Technicians.

Corrective Measures

Immediate cognizance of the act to be taken by presenting the student before Disciplinary Committee.

  • Ist warning and letter of apology.

  • Parents/Guardians to be called and taken undertaking of good behaviour.

  • The student should be issued suspension letter from two days upto a week or so on.

(C) Act - Ragging

Corrective Measures

The punishment is already devised by the Anti-ragging Committee.


(D) Act - Violence, Fighting and Causing hurt to fellow students intentionally

Corrective Measures

Disciplinary Committee will take serious view of the act and depending upon the circumstantial evidence, the students may be imposed fine and penalty such as:-

  • Suspension for a week or so.

  • Debarred from appearing in the examination.

  • Deducting marks on the grounds of discipline.

  • Medical claim must be paid to the injured student.


(E) Act - Eve teasing, misbehaviour with opposite gender, and any obscene act with in the campus and with in the premises of the campus.

Corrective Measures

Suspension of student for one week/ two weeks as per discretion of the Disciplinary Committee.

(F) Any other act found unbecoming of a student will be taken cognizance of by Disciplinary Committee on the letter of
(i) HOD’s; (ii) Faculty; (iii) Technicians; (iv) Class-IV Employees; (v) Estate Officer; (vi) Hostel Wardens of both boys and girls hostels; (vii) Any student witnessing the above mentioned acts of indiscipline, may approach the Disciplinary Committee at their earliest for the corrective action against the wrong doer.

(G) Any act of omission and commission by the students will be dealt with seriously by Disciplinary Committee.

(H) Strict punitive action will be taken by Disciplinary Committee for any act of inciting other students to agitate against the Institute with the intention to politicize any issue and causing damage to the person and the property.

II. The Committee will meet at least twice a month and the Chairman will be apprised by the Convener about the disciplinary actions taken.
