UIT has an active Training and Placement cell comprising faculty having valuable experience in industry and academics. The cell arranges seminars and training courses. Through linkages in companies and industries the placement cell arranges, prioritizes and prepares the schedule of company visits in the campus.

Training and Placement cell arranges Industrial Training sessions during IV, V, VI and VIII semester vacations.
The cell endeavours to achieve its objective to facilitate the growth of competent professionals, focusing on assimilation, generation and dissemination of knowledge.

We are committed to enhancing career prospects of our students with the aim to create paragons in technical and professional arena. Our students are nurtured to bring pride to the organization and the society as a whole.

The centre undertakes the following activities :

• To identify the gap between student performance and corporate expectation.
• To groom the students according to the gap analysis and prepare them for final interviews.
• To conduct Mock Interviews and Group Discussions.
• To arrange their Summer Training according to their Specialization.
• To invite companies for Campus Recruitments .
• To hold Pre-Placement Talks with prospective companies.
• To conduct Workshops and Seminars on the latest Subjects and Topics as per requirement of the corporate world.
• To organize plant visits to various manufacturing companies to expose the students to the practical know – how.

ACTIVITIES OF TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL FOR B.TECH 2010-2011

Following activities and exercises are completed for B.Tech (CSE/IT/ECE/EEE/ME) in 6th and 8th semesters.

1. Career for Engineers in the Indian Air-Force, delivered by Air Commodore, Prof. R. Kumar on 22nd Feb. 2011.

2. Workshop of M/S Futuronix Automation Pvt. Ltd. New Delhi, this workshop was linked to Allen Bradly, Siemans, Fuji, Schneider-Electric, LG, Mistubishi, Omron etc. on dated 9th March 2011.

3. A seminar of M/s Yokogava India Ltd. New Delhi arranged on 8th March 2011. This company is world leader in automation system and provides training in the industry.

4. Different organizations for verbal communication, logical reasoning and quantitative analysis had been arranged for the benefit of the B.Tech students from April 20 to April 29, 2011. The following organizations have demonstrated their syllabi to the students.

5. Industrial visit has been arranged for B.Tech EEE-VI Sem along with HOD at C&S Sidcul, Hardiwar on 26 April, 2011. Students have learned and seen Low Tension panels assembly, Manufacturing unit on MCB.

6. Placement of B.Tech : Final Year 2011 batch has been done successfully and 18 (Eighteen) large companies have placed a large number of students. The minimum package offered Rs. 3.0 Lacs and Maximum is Rs. 6.43 Lacs.

UIT provides  its students the information guidance and job - seeking support. 

Students are encouraged to attend job information fairs, career counseling sessions, seminars, Group discussion sessions and personality  development programmes .
